Merlita Cabalse, DOMP Clinic Owner

 Merlita has always been compelled by the holistic nature of Osteopathy, it’s core understanding that the body heals itself and the simple but profound idea of movement as an expression of health and life. She believes in finding and treating the cause of pain and dysfunction rather than simply treating the symptoms.

She enjoys treating people of all ages and seeing the improvement in their health. Merlita believes in patient education and treats both structurally and cranially, incorporating a wide range of techniques to suit patients needs in every body in a gentle yet focused way. She also brings her experience of many years in Physiotherapy to her practice. Her goal is to assist in optimizing patient’s health and well being through a holistic and alternative approach to health care. In her spare time Merlita loves spending precious time with her daughter, taking walks, loves to read whenever possible, cooking and enjoys cake decorating.

Merlita is very passionate about Osteopathy and she is continuing to study postgraduate courses in Osteopathy. Merlita Cabalse  is a diplomate of the Canadian Manual Osteopathy Examining Board (CMOEB).

 

Sheelagh Stewart, DOMP

Caring immensely for the comfort and care of others, Sheelagh is so passionate about her work and her connection with every person that walks through her door. Her journey into studying the capacities and complexities of the body mind complex began 15 years ago, and turned toward Osteopathy after struggling with her own chronic physical pain and stress. Her philosophy is focused on the unity and integration of the body as a whole, and its own innate ability toward recovery, healing and regulation. Sheelagh is a graduate of the National Academy of Osteopathy, and continues her studies in manual therapies and integrative care. She joined the graduating class (2016) of the Whole Health Medicine Institute (USA), led by Dr. Lissa Rankin (MD).

Brian Sullivan, RMT Registered Massage Therapist

Brian have been a Massage Therapist for eight years in the KW area. In the past 7 years Brian have gained experience in developing his techniques and knowledge in massage therapy and connecting with his clients, as well as becoming adept in treating various conditions by using a wide range of modalities. Brian’s style is typically relaxation approach, and is comfortable using variety of approach making his treatments flexible and customized for each client. He often use deep tissue massage, he’s also trained in Hot stone  massage, aroma therapy, smudging, reflexology as well as guided meditation instructor.

Brian is registered and licensed with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO). Brian look forward to helping you reach your goals through Massage Therapy.

 

 

 

 

Jessica Sealey, RMT Registered Massage Therapist

Jessica Graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in 2015, after becoming licensed she started her own business in her hometown of Cambridge Ontario where she currently works with motor vehicle and work related injuries. Jessica utilizes a variety of techniques and takes pride in individualizing every treatment for each client’s particular needs. Strongly believing in homecare and postural correction you can always expect stretching and strengthening exercises at the end of every treatment to help you further reach your goals. In Jessica’s spare time she enjoys reading, Crafts and staying active by taking her dogs for long walks and playing on a soccer team. Jessica is looking forward to learn and grow with the practitioners at Belmont Osteopathy Clinic.

Jessica is currently Licensed with the CMTO and a member of the RMTAO.

 

 

 

Wilma England, Certified Reflexology & Reiki Practitioner

Wilma is a certified Advanced Reiki Practitioner. She received her First Degree Reiki Certificate from Conestoga College, Complementary Care Program in 2009. She went on to receive her Second Degree Reiki training in the Usui Reiki system of natural healing and completed her training in the method of Usui Shiki Ryoho Advanced Reiki Training.

As a complementary healing therapy, Wilma graduated from the Foot Reflexology Program at the Reflexology Training Ontario Inc. and is a certified Foot Reflexology Practitioner.

Wilma is a registered member of the Reflexology Registration Council of Ontario (RRCO)and the Canadian Reiki Association (CRA).

Wilma has a passion for working with clients using her training in Reiki and Reflexology to promote deep relaxation, reduce stress and holistically relieve the body of physical, emotional and spiritual ‘blockages’ and restore the body’s natural ability to facilitate much of its own healing.

Wilma grew up in Kitchener-Waterloo and is fluent in German. She started her career in the banking industry before becoming a stay-at-home mom and raising her three children. Wilma has always had an interest in health and wellness, fitness and yoga as well as volunteering in her community. Her interest in holistic health care lead her to explore complementary healing modalities. She lives in Baden with her husband and family dog. She enjoys spending time with her family, walking the dog, gardening and travelling.
